Alden Meil is a Jazz guitarist
from the San Francisco Bay Area.

Alden has been playing guitar since childhood. A current student at The New School College of Performing Arts, he grew up studying with Mimi Fox and Liberty Ellman.

At The New School, he studies with Steve Cardenas, Wendy Eisenberg, and Andrew Cyrille, among others.

Gigging regularly in both cities, his playing lives mostly in the modern/avant-garde corner — Frisell, Metheny, and Zorn — while honoring the greats such as Pharoah Sanders and Ornette Coleman, along with many others.
